Jed Kurzel is an Australian singer-songwriter, guitarist, and music composer. The younger brother of screenwriter and film director Justin Kurzel, Jed Kurzel is the founding member of the blues-rock duo, The Mess Hall. In 2011, he scored music for his brother, Justin`s directorial debut Snowtown for which he was nominated for the Australian Institute Film Award for Best Original Music Score. He has also composed music for the movies Son of a Gun (2014), The Babadook (2014), Macbeth (2015), and Assassin`s Creed (2016). His 2017 release includes the movie Alien: Covenant directed by Ridley Scott.
