Jen Gatien started out in Hollywood as an actress in the late 1990s, before segueing into production. In a career spanning over two decades, Gatien has been associated with over twenty-five feature films and documentaries, and is perhaps best known for bankrolling indie movies like Hounddog (2007), Holy Rollers (2010) and For Ellen (2012).


Notable among the documentaries she has produced are Chelsea on the Rocks (2008), Limelight (2011) and the award-winning Evolution of a Criminal (2014). In 2018, Gatien produced the romantic drama Midnight Sun, which is a remake of the acclaimed 2006 Japanese film of the same name and starred Bella Thorne and Patrick Schwarzenegger in the lead roles.
