After graduating from the Central School of Speech and Drama, Jennifer Saunders became a part of a group of British comedians called The Comic Strip, gaining immense recognition. In 1982, The Comic Strip managed a television show titled The Comic Strip Presents..., playing various characters across five seasons, which ran from 1982 to 1998. Meanwhile, she also made her movie debut in 1985 with the movie The Supergrass, following which she appeared in movies like Eat the Rich, In The Bleak Midwinter, and Spice World among many others.

After the massive recognition she received on television due to The Comic Strip Presents...., Saunders was a part of other shows such as Girls on Top, French and Saunders, Absolutely Fabulous, The Life and Times of Vivienne Vyle, and Blandings. Some of her recent movie credits include Shrek 2, Coraline, Minions, Sing, and Isn`t It Romantic.
