Jhumpa Lahiri a.k.a Nilanjana Sudeshna "Jhumpa" Lahiri born on July 11, 1967 in London, England is an Indian American author. Lahiri's debut short story collection Interpreter of Maladies which let her won Pulitzer Prize for Fiction award in 2000 and O. Henry Award in 1999. Lahiri first novel The Namesake was adapted into a popular film of the same name. Lahiri is currently a professor of creative writing at Princeton University.
