Known for his prolific work in Hollywood, Jim May is an editor who, in fact, started out as an assistant visual effects editor in 1990 with the sci-fi thriller Solar Crisis. Associated with the visual effects department for about a decade, May worked on movies like Terminator 2: Judgement Day, The Indian in the Cupboard, Kazaam, Deep Rising, and Armageddon.
In 1999, he made his debut as an editor, assisting on the adventure action-fantasy The Mummy, following which he went on to work on movies as an independent editor with Cookers being his first outing. He then went on to work on movies such as Van Helsing, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, The A-Team, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, Rampage and Bloodshot.
