Best known for voicing Ariel in The Little Mermaid (1989) and Barbie in the Toy Story film franchise (1995-), Jodi Benson is an American voice artist, actress and singer. She began her showbiz journey as a stage artist, appearing in several Broadway productions before garnering international recognition for her titular voice role in the Oscar-winning animated musical fantasy film The Little Mermaid (1989).

Besides her work in theatre and cinema, Benson has also voiced characters in animated TV shows like The Pirates of Dark Water (1991-`92), The Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat (1995-`97) and Hercules (1998-`99).
