Joe Alves is a production designer and an art director, born on 21 March, 1938, in San Leandro, California, USA. He has also worked as a director in Jaws 3-D (1983). He is known for his works im films like Sinbad: Beyond the Veil of Mists (2000), Escape from New York (1981), Jaws (1975). He won the BAFTA for Best Art Direction for the movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
