Joe Manganiello is an American television and film actor. He first rose to public attention when he portrayed the character of Flash Thompson in Sam Raimi`s Spider-Man trilogy. Manganiello has also appeared in guest roles and recurring roles in several popular television shows, most notably in the sitcom How I Met Your Mother, the medical drama E.R. and One Tree Hill. The actor`s breakout role on television came with the fantasy horror series True Blood, in which his portrayal of Alcide Herveaux was well-received in all circles. He won a Scream Award for Breakout Performance and a Saturn Award for his performance in the series. Notable film credits include Magic Mike (2012), Knight of Cups (2015), Magic Mike XXL (2015) and Smurfs: The Lost Village (2017). His 2018 release includes the sci-fi monster movie Rampage.
