Joe Walker is a British film editor, who was nominated for an Academy Award for his work on the 2013 Steve McQueen movie, 12 Years a Slave. He started his career as an editor in 2001 with Tabloid. Since then Walker has edited movies like The Escapist (2008), Hunger (2008), Harry Brown (2009), Shame (2011), Last Passenger (2013), Sicario (2015) and Arrival (2016). Walker won the American Cinema Editors Award for Best Edited Feature Film - Dramatic for his work on Denis Villeneuve`s movie, Arrival (2016). He served as editor again on Villeneuve`s sci-fi movie, Blade Runner 2049, a sequel to the 1982 Ridley Scott movie, Blade Runner.
