The owner of Silver Pictures and co-founder of Dark Castle Entertainment, producer Joel Silver has been in Hollywood for a long time. A rival to Michael Eisner, former CEO of The Walt Disney Company, he has been associated mostly with action films that include films with a cult following namely, Lethal Weapon series, The Matrix trilogy, the first two Die Hard movies, and Predator. Debuting as a associate producer with The Warriors (1979), his other notable works include Thirteen Ghosts (2001), Cradle 2 the Grave (2003), V for Vendetta (2005), Speed Racer (2008), Sherlock Holmes (2009), Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011), and Superfly (2018), among others.
