Johan Heldenbergh is a Belgian actor, writer and director who has worked in International movies like Moscow, Belgium (2008), The Misfortunates (2009) and The Broken Circle Breakdown (2012). He made his acting debut with Antonia`s Line (1995). Over the years he has acted in critically acclaimed movies like Any Way the Wind Blows (2003), Ben X (2007), Come as You Are (2011), The Brand New Testament (2015) and Belgica (2016). Heldenbergh made his directorial debut with Schellebelle 1919 (2011). The movie The Broken Circle Breakdown (2012) was based on a play he wrote. The movie was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film of the Year and was Belgium`s official submission. Heldenbergh will be seen in Niki Caro`s The Zookeeper`s Wife (2017). The cast also includes Jessica Chastain, Johan Heldenbergh and Daniel Bruhl.
