John Diehl is an American stage, television and film actor. Renowned for his work in avant garde theatre, Diehl has appeared in around 80 films and several television shows in a career spanning close to four decades. He is perhaps best known for his roles in films like Stargate (1994), Nixon (1995), A Time to Kill (1996) and Jurassic Park III (2001). Among the most memorable roles in Diehl`s prolific television career is his portrayal of Detective Larry Zito in the crime drama series Miami Vice. Besides these, he has also appeared in television shows like The X-Files, West Wing, Friday Night Lights and Almost Human. Other notable feature film credits include The Destiny of Marty Fine (1996), Color of a Brisk and Leaping Day (1996), Pearl Harbor (2001), Forever (2015) and The North Star (2016).
