John Gallagher Jr. is an American television and film actor. He has a been highly praised for his work in Broadway and television. He won the Tony Award for his role in the Broadway production of Spring Awakening. He has been seen in various television series like The West Wing, Law & Order: SVU, NYPD Blue, Ed and Love Monkey. He is well known for his role as Jim Harper in HBOs production The Newsroom. He has been a part of various films like Pieces of April (2003), Woody Allen`s Whatever Works (2009) and Short Term 12 (2013). He was later seen in the 2016 thriller, 10 Cloverfield Lane. His 2020 release includes Come Play, directed by Jacob Chase.
