Johnson Master was a music director and film score composer who mainly worked in Malayalam cinema. His most prominent work can be seen in the movies Koodevide, Oru Minnaminunginte Nurunguvettam, Perumthachan, Bhoothakkannadi, Namukku Parkkan Munthiri Thoppukal, and Ponthan Mada. A recipient of National Film Awards and Kerala State Film Awards, he was known for lyrical melodies with rich tonal compositions. His most popular songs include `Swapnam Verumoru Swapnam` from Premageethangal, `Thankathoni` from Mazhavilkavadi`, `Oru Naal` from Gulmohar, `Paathi meyy maranjathenthe` from Paavam Paavam Rajakumaran, and `Pathirappullunarnu` from Ee Puzhayum Kadannu. His 2017 venture includes background score for the Malayalam movie Chodhyam, under the direction of G. S. Vijayan, starring Rashin Rahman and Rupini in lead roles.
