Gowri Chandrasekhara Pillai, better known as Jomol, is an Indian movie actress, who is widely popular in the Malayalam film industry. For her performance in Ennu Swantham Janakikutty, she not only won a Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress but also received a Special Mention at the 45h National Film Awards. Making her Tamil debut, she was seen playing a cameo in the 2000 mystery-thriller Snegithiye, which is based on the 1999 Marathi film Bindhaast. After her wedding in 2002, Jomol appeared in fewer movies and last appeared in the 2007 movie Raakilipattu, which is Malayalam version of Snegithiye. Following a ten-year-long sabbatical, Jomol was seen in the Malayalam drama thriller Careful, co-starring Vijay Babu and Sandhya Raju.
