Jon Douglas Rainey is an American actor and writer. Before delving into movies, Rainey was a thief and was an expert at breaking into houses. This prompted him to host the popular TV reality show It Takes A Thief. He co-hosted it with Matt Johnston. The show spoke about home security in a way it was never dealt with before. He also worked as a licensed Private Detective for 5 years. His acting stints include TV shows like Political Animals (2012), Inside Amy Schumer (2013– ), Person of Interest (2011–2016) and Boardwalk Empire (2010–2014). Rainey’s acting roles include movies like Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) (2014), Touched with Fire (2015), Creed (2015) and The Purge: Election Year (2016). M. Night Shyamalan cast Rainey in the horror thriller The Visit (2015). In 2017 Rainey stars alongside James McAvoy, Anya Taylor-Joy and Haley Lu Richardson in Shyamalan’s Split.
