He began his career as a news photographer in Boston and won four Oscars for the movies such as “The Great Waltz'', ''Mrs. Miniver'', ''Somebody Up There Likes Me” and ''Gigi'' and won four Academy awards. Ruttenberg died on May 1, 1983.
