Best known for his racy, often menacing film scores, Joseph Trapanese is a well known an American composer, arranger, and producer. He came into the big leagues, when he worked on the score of Tron: Legacy (2010) with Daft Punk. Trapanese next collaborated with Linkin Park`s Mike Shinoda on the American release of the 2011 Indonesian martial arts film The Raid: Redemption. He also scored the sequel, The Raid 2 (2014). Trapanese turned an independent composer with director F. Gary Gray`s epic rap biopic, Straight Outta Compton in 2015.
He also served as the composer on the The Divergent Series- Insurgent (2015) and Divergent (2016). Trapanese has also worked on movies and TV shows like Oblivion (2013), Quantico (2015- ), Shimmer Lake (2017), Wolf Warrior 2 (2017), Only the Brave (2017) and Jean-Claude Van Johnson (2016- ). He has collaborated with musicians like M83, Moby, Kendrick Lamar, Haim, Dr. Dre, Zedd, Sohn, John Newman, James Newton Howard, Kelly Clarkson, Halsey, Dia Frampton, and 3OH!3. In 2017 Trapanese served as the composer on director Michael Gracey`s, The Greatest Showman. His 2018 release includes Robin Hood.
