Joseph Walker was an American cinematographer who also worked for wireless telephone engineer, inventor, and photographer of documentaries before he started his feature film career. He started working at Columbia Pictures since 1927 and retired in 1952. Before Columbia, he freelanced at various studios for seven years. He won a Gordon E. Sawyer Award by Academy Awards and has been nominated for four Academy Awards.
