An American actor, Josh Stewart is best remembered for his role as Holt McLaren in the popular TV series, Dirt, which was aired in FX TV and as William LaMontagne, Jr., a detective in the crime TV series, Criminal Minds. An alumnus of the West Virginia University, Stewart, after completing his graduation moved to New York to pursue a career in acting.
Before making it big on the silver screen, Stewart started his acting career by working in the local theater at Landmark Theatre in Sutton, West Virginia. He got his big break in 2000 when he was cast for the TV series titled Dawson`s Creek where he had a small role. He later appeared in series` like Third Watch (2004-05), ER (2008), Ghost Whisperer (2010), The Walking Dead: Cold Storage (2012) and Shooter (2017).
After working in the TV industry for a brief period, Stewart got his breakthrough in a feature film with Lenexa, 1 Mile (2006), where the played the role of T.J. Ketting. His other notable film credits include The Collector (2009), The Hunted (2013), Interstellar (2014), Cold Moon (2016) and
Insidious: The Last Key (2018), an American supernatural horror film directed by Adam Robitel.
