An American musical artist, Julia Holter is a singer, songwriter, record producer, and composer, who is noted for collaborating with several renowned musicians like Nite Jewel, Linda Perhacs, Michael Pisaor and Jean-Michel Jarre. An alumnus of The University of Michigan, Holter, after seeing Michael Pisaro perform an avant-grade composition in Michigan, she was inspired to study with him at CalArts where she graduated with a composition program.
Holter, released her maiden first studio album, Tragedy in 2011 and her other notable albums include Ekstasis in 2012 and Domnico Records in 2013. Her maiden composition work in a feature film is Bleed for This (2017), a biographical sports drama directed by Ben Younger.
