Juno Temple is an English actress who made her debut when she was 8 years old, in the 1997 film Vigo: Passion for Life. She was born to producer Amanda Pirie and film director Julien Temple. From 2006 onwards she started getting regular roles in films and began to live on her own earnings while still a teenager. She has played a diverse set of characters including a stripper and sex worker in Afternoon Delight (2013), a lesbian lycanthrope in Jack & Diane (2012), a schizophrenic insomniac in Magic Magic (2013), and a street smart girl in The Dark Knight Rises (2012). She claims to like unconventional roles and has even called herself a `quirky weirdo`.
Temple was awarded the Rising Star BAFTA Award in 2013 for Magic Magic. Other notable works include Atonement (2007), Wild Child (2008), The Other Boleyn Girl (2008), and Maleficent (2014). Recently she made her debut in television through the HBO series Vinyl (2016) which was followed by another show, a true-crime series called Dirty John (2018). Her 2019 releases include Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.
