Kailash Kher is an Indian playback singer, music director and lyricist who works predominantly in the Hindi film industry. He made his playback singing debut with the 2003 musical romance film Andaaz, and has since worked in over a hundred films in various capacities.

Kher has a raw, soulful, fresh, high-pitched and sharp voice. He can sing in a wide vocal range from high to low-pitched songs. His songs have been famous for their unique, soulful music and classical lyrics. A recipient of the Padma Shri Award and a two-time winner of the Filmfare Awards, Kailash`s notable discography as a singer include films like Swades (2004), Fanaa (2006), Kaminey (2009), Love Sex aur Dhokha (2010), Baahubali (2015) and Housefull 3 (2017). He has also lent his voice to several songs in regional language films, notably Majaa (2005), Veyil (2006), Keerthi Chakra (2006), Arundhati (2014) and Gopala Gopala (2015). Besides these, Kailash has also worked as a lyricist and music director on films like Dasvidaniya (2008) and Chandni Chowk to China (2009). Other notable film credits as a music director include Dhol (2007), Aladin (2009), Dil Bole Hadippa! (2009) and Darling (2012). His other notable works include Sarkar 3 (2017), 2.0 (2018), Laal Kaptaan (2019), Mimi (2021), Sharmaji Namkeen (2022), Shabaash Mithu (2022), Fursat (2023), OMG 2 (2023), Jawan (2023), Hanu-Man (2024), Main Atal Hoon (2024),Razakar - Silent Genocide of Hyderabad (2024), Amar Singh Chamkila (2024), The Legacy Of Jineshwar (2024) and Accident or Conspiracy: Godhra (2024).

Kailash is the founder of the fusion band Kailasa, and has released several highly popular albums, significant among which are Chaandan Mein, Rangeele and Naina Chaar.
