Kaithapram D. Nampoothiri is an Indian music composer and lyricist, who predominantly works in Malayalam cinema. He has composed music in several movies starting with Kottapurathe Koottukudumbam in 1997, followed by Karunyam, Udayapuram Sulthan, Vinayapoorvam Vidyadharan and Theerthadanam. Before beginning his career as a composer, he was associated with the 1990 movie Kalikkalam as a lyricist. His other notable work as a lyricist includes movies such as Ye Maaya Chesave, Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, Ekk Deewana Tha and Hello Namasthe. His 2017 projects as a lyricist were Achayans and Kadam Katha. His other venture in the year includes Sreehalli, which revolves around a village from a bygone era, under the direction of Sachin Raaj, starring Santhosh Keezhattoor in the lead role.
