Malayalam actor Kalabhavan Abi is well-known for his comedic timing and mimicry skills in the film industry. His impeccable mimicry skills as an old woman named AminaThatha made him a household name. He is also credited with mimicking the voice of popular Bollywood superstars like Amitabh Bachchan for the Malayalam dubbed version of advertisements. He made his debut with Nayam Vyakthamakkunnu in 1991, and has acted in over 50 films. His other notable acting credits Mazhavilkoodaram (1995), Kireedamillatha Rajakkanmar (1996), Aniyathipravu (1997), Rasikan (2004), Thanthonni (2010), and Thank You (2013). The talented actor tragically passed away in November 2017, from dengue. Reports also suggest that he was undergoing treatment aplastic anemia for two years.
