Kunnisseri Veettil Raman Mani, better known by his stage name Kalabhavan Mani, was an Indian singer and actor, who is best remembered for his comedic and villainous roles. He started his career in 1991, following which, he starred in as many as 200 movies in his career spanning about 16 years. While he is predominantly seen in Malayalam movies, he has acted in a number of Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada movies. His portrayal of Ramu in the 1999 movie Vasanthiyum Lakshmiyum Pinne Njaanum won him a Special Jury Award / Special Mention at the 47th National Film Awards. The actor had worked in movies like Vel (2007), Shakespeare M.A. Malayalam (2008), One Way Ticket (2008), Twenty: 20 (2008), Enthiran (2010), Ravanan (2010), Moonam Nal (2015) and Poyi Maranju Parathye (2016). In 2016, the actor passed away at the age of 45, owing to excessive alcohol consumption.
