A veteran actor in the Malayalam film industry, Kalabhavan Rahman made his acting debut on the silver screen with Onnu Muthal Poojyam Vare (1986) where he played a small role as an Ice cream parlor waiter. After his debut film, Kalabhavan did not have any release for next four years before he eventually made his comeback with Nagarangalil Chennu Raparkam in 1990. His other notable film credits include Jeevan Mashai (2001), Josettante Hero (2012), Manglish (2014), Welcome to Central Jail (2016) and Ente Kallu Pencil (2017), a Malayalam drama directed by Jespal Shanmughan. His 2020 release includes Kalamandalam Hyderali.
