Kalamandalam Kesavan was a kathakali percussionist, poet, playwright and actor in Malyalam cinema. He is associated with films like Saudaamini (2003), Valathottu Thirinjal Naalamathe Veedu (2003), Swapnam Kondu Thulaabhaaram (2003) and Saiver Thirumeni (2001). He has performed Kathakali in India and abroad. He was awarded the Kerala Kalamandalam Award and Kala Sahithya Academy Award for his poems 'Thenthully'.
