Kalyan is an Indian choreographer, actor and producer who works predominantly in the Tamil and Telugu film industries. He has also worked on Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada films. Kalyan started off as an actor, making his debut in the Ajith starrer, Kalloori Vaasal (1996). He made the transition to choreography with Uyirodu Uyiraga (1998). Although Kalyan continues to act in movies, he is mostly known for his choreography skills. He has handled the choreography for movies like Dheena (2001), Santosham (2002), Anniyan (2005), Ghajini (2005), Pokiri (2006), Ashok (2006), Rakhi (2006), Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam (2009), Billa (2009), Kick (2009), Oy! (2009), Darling (2010), Mankatha (2011), Panjaa (2011), Ishq (2012), Mayakkam Enna (2011), Masss (2015) and Chennai 600028 II: Second Innings (2016). Kalyan serves as the Judge on the hit reality dance TV show Kings of Dance for Vijay TV. In 2017 Kalyan choreographed director duo Pushkar-Gayathri’s crime/thriller, Vikram Vedha.
