Born in the Philippines, Kamal Sidhu is a model and actress, who lived in the Philippines until she was six after which she moved to Canada. Kamal, whose parents are Sikhs, hailing from Punjab, India, graduated from the University of Ottawa, Canada. She then went on to participate in the Miss India-Canada pageant, winning which brought her to India. Upon moving to India, she traveled to small parts of the country, appearing in ads, and movies. She made her debut alongside Jackie Shroff in the 1997 movie Aar Ya Paar, post which she was seen in television series such as A Mouthful of Sky, Captain Vyom, and Chasing Nature. In 2017, she was seen cast alongside Farhan Akhtar and Annu Kapoor is Anand Surapur`s directorial debut The Fakir of Venice, which was supposed to release in 2008 but after a ten-year-delay released in 2019.
