Kamna Chandra is an Indian writer who started her career by writing plays for All India Radio (AIR), following which she wrote the story and dialogues of a handful of movies. Her passion for writing and movies passed onto her children - Vikram Chandra, an author, Anupama Chopra, a film critic, and Tanuja Chandra, a film director, and writer. Among her film credits are Prem Rog, Chandni, 1942: A Love Story, and Kareeb, Gaja Gamini, and Qarib Qarib Singlle.
