Karan Kashyap started his career as an assistant director in 2000 with the movie Gaja Gamini, following which he began working as a script and dialogue supervisor. While working as the script and dialogue supervisor, Karan was associated with movies like Dil Chahta Hai, Saathiya, Lakshya, Bluffmaster!, and Don. Apart from being a supervisor, he was also associated with movies as an associate director and has movies like Bunty Aur Babli, Chak De! India, and Raavan. Making his debut as a writer and director, Karan worked on the 2013 comedy Zindagi Jalebi, following which he directed the 2017 comedy drama Duniya Khatam Ho Rahi Hai, which he wrote the screenplay for and also produced. In 2018, he directed Hindi drama Kathor, starring Lalit Parimoo and Sheetal Dimri in lead roles. His 2019 release includes Bagpat Ka Dulha.
