Karthik Aacharya is a pianist and music composer who comes from a family of musical roots. His father Shashi J. Acharya has worked as a sitarist for three decades and his grandfather Jayaram V. Acharya was a recipient of the Dadasaheb Phalke award in 2003, for completing five decades in the music industry. Hailing from Chennai, Karthik is part of a band titled Vin-Tage and predominantly works in the South Indian film industry. He made his debut with Masala Padam (2015), following which he worked in Irukku Aana Illa (2014). His Great Grandfather was the tutor to legendary Prithviraj Kapoor. His 2020 releases include the Kannada film Chase.
