A versatile artist, Karthik Shetty is an Indian actor and director who has worked in Marathi, Hindi and Kannada films. Born and raised in Mumbai, Karthik Shetty, after completing his education from the Don Bosco School, Matunga, became the first Mumbai-based Kannadiga artist to venture into Marathi film production.

Trained in mixed arts and Mua Thai in Singapore, Karthik made his debut on the silver screen as a director with the hit film, Bhakti Heech Khari Shakti (2006). Following his successful debut, he ventured into acting and made his debut with the Kannada film, Yuvah (2008). The film was both critically appreciated and commercially successful. He subsequently acted in two more Kannada movie, before eventually making his comeback as a director with the Hit Marathi film, Than Than Gopal (2014). His 2018 release as an actor includes Bale Pudar Deeka E Preethig, a Tulu drama musical romance directed by Manoranjan JV Achary.
