A versatile artist, Kashi Viswanath is an Indian actor and director who primarily works in Telugu cinema. Having staring started his career as an assistant director, he collaborated with many renowned directors in the Telugu film industry; he worked as the co-director for 25 films before eventually making his debut as an independent director with Nuvvu Leka Nenu Lenu (2002). His maiden film was well received by both the audience and the critics.

After the success of his maiden directorial venture, Kasi directed Toli Choopulone in 2003 and as he was awaiting the release, he met director Ravi Babu at a temple where he got an offer to play the role of the leading actor`s father in Ravi Babu`s next movie, Nachavule. He accepted the offer and thus began his career as an actor. Later, over the years, he played character roles in many films. Some his notable films as an actor include Darling (2010), Mr. Perfect (2011), Kotha Janta (2014), Run (2016), Sathamanam Bhavati (2017) and Masakali (2018), a Telugu drama romance directed by Nabi Enugubala.
