Kate del Castillo Negrete Trillo born October 23, 1972, is one of Mexico`s most renowned film actresses. She is the daughter of Eric del Castillo, a legendary Mexican opera actor. Del Castillo made her acting debut with the film, The Last Escape (1978). In 1995 she appeared in the music video "Fuego de Noche, Nieve de Dia" by
Ricky Martin.
She gained popularity with Muchachitas (1991), a telenovela. Kate won the Outstanding Performance in a Motion Picture Award for Trade (2006). Later, she worked for the films, Under the Same Moon (2007) and
