Kate del Castillo Negrete Trillo born October 23, 1972, is one of Mexico`s most renowned film actresses. She is the daughter of Eric del Castillo, a legendary Mexican opera actor. Del Castillo made her acting debut with the film, The Last Escape (1978). In 1995 she appeared in the music video "Fuego de Noche, Nieve de Dia" by Ricky Martin. She gained popularity with Muchachitas (1991), a telenovela. Kate won the Outstanding Performance in a Motion Picture Award for Trade (2006). Later, she worked for the films, Under the Same Moon (2007) and No Good Deed (2014). Her movie, The 33, released in January 2016. In 2006, Del Castillo starred in the film Bordertown, which became her first role in Hollywood and in November 2007, she was named one of the "Stars of the Year." In 2011, she was titled as one of the "25 most influential women" and "50 most beautiful" by People en Espanol magazine.

Besides appearing in advertising campaigns for L`Oreal and Ford, she launched a new brand of tequila named Honor del Castillo in association with the Vivanco Family, also serving as the spokesperson for the brand. She played the character role of Isabel Aretas in the 2020 Action and Crime Thriller Bad Boys For Life.
