Best known for her role as Louise Brooks in CBS TV series, Gary Unmarried, and as Alex Nelson in the horror film Paranormal Activity 4, Kathryn Newton is an American actor. The recipient of the Young Artist Award in 2013, Newton started her career at the age of four; she made her debut on the screen with the TV soap opera All My Children (2001-05).

The actress rose to fame with her role in Gary Unmarried (2008-10). Newton who had already become a popular name in the TV industry ventured to act in feature films in 2011 and made her silver screen debut with Bad Teacher (2011). Her other notable film credits include The Martial Arts Kid (2015), Lady Bird (2017, Blockers (2018), Ben Is Back (2018).
