Kavi Raz is an Indian-born British writer-director, actor and producer. One among the first South Asian actors to achieve mainstream success in Hollywood, Raz is best known for his work as an actor in films like Pet Sematary (1989) and Big River (2005), and television shows like St. Elsewhere and Star Trek: The Next Generation. He has also received critical acclaim as a writer-director, courtesy of films like The Golden Bracelet (2006), Highway 5 (2016) and The Black Prince (2017). Other notable acting credits include Warning Sign (1985), The Onion Movie (2008), The Ode (2008) and the tv shows MASH and House MD. In 2017, Raz's historical drama film The Black Prince won the Jury Prize for Best Drama and Best Original Story at the Los Angeles Film Awards.

In 2018, he directed Punjabi drama Kande, starring Preet Baath and Yograj Singh in lead roles.
