Early Life: Kellan Christopher Lutz was born in Dickinson, North Dakota. He is the middle child of 6 brothers and 1 sister. He started modelling when he was 13 years old. Kellan was slated to attend Orange County`s Chapman University for chemical engineering but he chose to move to Los Angeles, intent on pursuing an acting career instead. He made his debut on the daytime drama The Bold and The Beautiful in 2004.
Career Highlights: The following year he took on his first recurring role on the HBO comedy The Comeback. Other TV roles included appearances on CSI:NY, Six Feet Under, Heroes and Summerland. He made his film debut in the teen - oriented film Stick It (2006). His career took a major turn in 2008, when he took regular roles in two television shows: Generation Kill and 90210. He also appeared in the films Prom Night(2008) and, most notably, Twilight, where he was cast as vampire Emmett Cullen. He soon reprised his role in the Twilight saga and also starred in The Immortals and A Nightmare on Elm Street in 2010. Kellan has appeared in several music videos and was the host of Bravo`s Blow Out. Kellan also appeared in the miniseries Generation Kill, based on the book by Evan Wright. He will soon be seen in The Expendables 3, slated for release in August 2014.
