Canadian filmmaker, screenwriter, actor and comedian Ken Scott is best known for writing and directing the French-Canadian comedy Starbuck (2011), which was internationally well-received and won the Best Narrative Feature Award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival in 2012. The film has since been remade in Bollywood as Vicky Donor (2012) and Hollywood as Delivery Man (2013).

Scott first rose to prominence when he scripted the critically acclaimed comedy Seducing Doctor Lewis (2003), which received the Audience Award at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival. Almost six years later, he made his directorial debut with the comedy Sticky Fingers (2009). The Hollywood comedy Unfinished Business (2015) and the French English-language comedy-adventure movie The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir (2019) are some of Scott`s other notable directorial credits. The latter is based on a novel by Romain Puertolas, and features Indian actor Dhanush in the lead role.
