Khalid Azmi is an Indian writer and director, known for his work in the Hindi film industry. He started his career as an assistant director in Ganga Tere Desh Mein in 1988 and later, in the same year, made his directorial debut with Biwi Ho To Aisi. In 1996, he assisted on 1996 release Shastra and also penned the screenplay of Tere Mere Sapne. He has also assisted on the films like Vishwavidhaata (1997), Ittefaq (2001), Kitne Door... Kitne Paas (2002). He has also penned down dialogues for popular films like Awara Paagal Deewana (2002), EMI: Liya Hai To Chukana Padega (2008), Policegiri (2013) and Shorgul (2016). His other projects include Rangeela Raja (2019).
