An American actor, Kirk Acevedo is best known for playing the roles of Miguel Alvarex in the HBO TV series, Oz, Joe Toye in Band of Brothers and Charlie Francis, and an FBI agent in the sci-fi series, Fringe. After completing his graduation from LaGuardia High School of Music & Arts and Performing Arts, Acevedo later enrolled himself at the SUNY Purchase School of Acting.
Having started his acting career as a TV actor with New York Undercover in 1994, Acevedo starred in a singular episode titled Tash where the played the role of Joey Caludio. His other popular TV credits include Swift Justice (1996), Oz (1997-2003), Third Watch (2001), NYPD Blue (2004), 24 (2004), Fringe (2008-2011), Person of Interest (2013), Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2015), and Arrow (2017).
After working in the TV industry for a brief period, Acevedo made his debut on the silver screen with Arresting Gena in 1998. He subsequently starred in films like Boiler Room (2000), The New World (2005), Invincible (2006), Collision Earth (2011),
Dawn of the Planer of the Apes (2014) and
Insidious: The Last Key (2018).
