Kovai Cheziyanwas a politician and Tamil film producer. He had produced films with MGR, Sivaji Ganesan, NTR, Jayalalitha, and Vijaykanth. First movie produced under him was Sumaithangi and some of the movie produced under him are Ooty Varai Uravu, Kumari Kottam, Enakku Nane Needipathiand Circus Ramudu. He was the first President of the Tamil Film Producers Council when it was formed and later joined politics. He died at the age of 68, on March 14, 2000.
