Kris Swanberg, often credited as Kris Rey, is a businesswoman and teacher who later went on to become a filmmaker. She played supporting roles in various films as well as the webs eries Young American Bodies (2006 - 2009). As a director, she made her debut in 2009 with It Was Great, But I Was Ready to Come Home. Since then, she has directed Empire Builder (2014), Unexpected (2015), and I Used to Go Here (2020).
