Better known as Kumaar, Rakesh Kumaar is a lyricist who works primarily in Bollywood. He gained prominence for his work on Sukhbir's song Ishq Tera Tadpave, which went on to become an instant success. Kumaar has also penned down the lyrics to popular Bollywood songs such as Baby Doll, Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan, Lovely, Desi Look, Nachan Farrate, and Sooraj Dooba Hain, for which he went on to win a Filmfare Award nomination. His 2017 release includes the Hindi comedy drama Mubarakan, directed by Anees Bazmee and the musical thriller Lucknow Central, directed by Ranjit Tiwari.
