Kunal Nayyar was born in London, raised in New Delhi and currently resides in the United States. He studied Business and Fine Arts. Before landing his big break as Raj on The Big Bang Theory (2007), Kunal made a guest appearance on NCIS and performed on stage as well. He has appeared in theatrical works such as Huck and Holden and Love`s Labour`s Lost. In addition to acting, Kunal has co-written the critically acclaimed play Cotton Candy and hosted A Tribute to Nerds at Montreal`s Comedy festival Just for Laughs. He was one of the voice-over artists for the animated movie Ice Age: Continental Drift (2012). Kunal made his film debut with Dr. Cabbie and appeared in The Scribbler in 2014. He also featured in Consumed (2015), Sweetness in the Belly (2019), Think Like a Dog (2020). He also lent his voice to films like
Trolls (2016) and
Trolls World Tour (2020).
