An actor and music composer, Kuralarasan is the son of the noted filmmaker T. Rajendar. He appeared as a child artist in movies such as Alai, Oru Vasandha Geetham, Petradutha Pillai, and Thai Thangai Pasam. He also won the Tamil State Award for Best Child Artist for his performance in the movie Sonnal Thaan Kaadhala which was written, directed, and produced by the his father T. Rajendar. He made his debut as a composer with the movie Idhu Namma Aalu in 2016. In 2017, he composed music for the movie Saraahsudu starring his son Silambarasan T.R., Nayanthara, and Andrea Jeremiah.
