Making her TV debut with the Canadian horror anthology series, Goosebumps (1995-1998), Laura Vandervoort is a Canadian actress. Over the years she has played Sadie Harrison in the CTV teen drama series Instant Star (2004-2008), Lisa in the ABC sci-fi series V (2009-2011), Kara Zor-El (Supergirl) in The CW serial drama series Smallville, Elena Michaels in the SYFY horror-drama series Bitten and Indigo in the CBS superhero adventure series Supergirl (2015). Vandervoort is a second degree black belt in karate and is often known to do her own stunts. She was listed two years in a row on the Maxim Magazine's 100 Hottest Women and in 2014 Vandervoort was also their cover girl. She made her big screen debut in 2006 with the thriller, Troubled Waters. Since then her acting credits include movies like The Lookout (2007), The Jazzman (2009), The Entitled (2011), This Means War (2012), Ted (2012), and Coffee Shop (2014).
In 2017 Vandervoort was seen alongside Tobin Bell, Matt Passmore, Callum Keith Rennie, Cle Bennett, and Hannah Emily Anderson in director-duo Michael and Peter Spierig's, horror-mystery, Jigsaw. The movie is the eighth installment in the Saw franchise.
