French musician and film score composer Laurent Perez Del Mar has been associated with over a dozen movies in the course of a career spanning over a decade, and is perhaps best known for his award-winning work in the animated fantasy-drama The Red Turtle (2016). Besides getting nominated at the Annie Awards and Lumiere Awards, Del Mar's work in The Red Turtle also won him the International Film Music Critics Award for Best Original Score for an Animated Feature Film that year. Other notable titles in his discography include Brotherhood of Tears (2013), The Sweeney: Paris (2015), My Son (2017) and the American fantasy thriller I Kill Giants (2018).
