Son of the popular Kannada director CV Shivashankar, Laxman Shivashankar is an actor, screenwriter, and lyricist known for his work in the Kannada film industry. Laxman, who was quite active in dramas and cultural activities during his college days, went on to work in animation and video post-production industry before venturing into acting. He has directed several short films and has also acted in television serials. He made his acting debut in 2015 with the movie A Day in the City directed by Venkat Bhardwaj. In 2017, he teamed up with Venkat again for the movie Kempirve. His 2019 release includes Payanigaru.
